Automotive Low Dropout (LDO) Voltage Tracking Regulator OPTIREG™ TLT125D0EJ
Application circuit

The OPTIREG™ linear TLT125D0EJ is a monolithic integrated low-dropout voltage tracking
regulator with high accuracy in small PG-DSO-8 exposed pad package and extended
temperature Profile (max. Tj =160°C). The TLT125D0EJ is designed to supply off-board
systems, for example sensors in powertrain management systems under the severe
conditions of automotive applications. Therefore, the TLT125D0EJ is equipped with
protection functions against reverse polarity and against short circuit to GND and battery.
Up to a supply voltage of 40 V and output currents up to 250 mA, the output voltage follows
the reference voltage that is applied to the ADJ input with very high accuracy.
The required minimum reference voltage at ADJ is 2.0 V.

Thermal model description:
THERMAL_MODEL = 1: PG-DSO-8 1s0p 600mm2 cooling area
THERMAL_MODEL = 2: PG-DSO-8 1s0p 300mm2 cooling area
THERMAL_MODEL = 3: PG-DSO-8 1s0p, footprint
THERMAL_MODEL = 4: PG-DSO-8 2s2p
THERMAL_MODEL = 10: No self-heating, only TEMP value used as a temperature

Model performance :
- dynamic behavior (start-up, PSRR)
- static behavior is modelled by approximation to the real behavior of the device
over temperature
- the thermal simulations represent an approximation of the actual thermal
behavior of the device according to the JEDEC standards at Power = 3W
and Ambient Temperature = 85 °C
