The car of the future is based on two key technologies: electromobility and autonomous driving.
Climate change, oil shortage, air pollution – one solution to them is electromobility. Provided the electricity comes from electricity from renewable sources. Up to 50 percent of all vehicles are expected to be driven by an electric motor by 2030.
Countless automated vehicles will also be on the road by then. That will mean less traffic pollution and fuel consumption. Problems in finding a space to park will also be a thing of the past.
Electromobility and automated driving have their advantages, but they do also raise challenges. The “Discoveries” deliver answers to important questions: How long does a battery last and how far can a car travel on one charge? What can an automated car already achieve now and what will be possible in the future?
